The Canadian Food Inspection Agency has issued recalls for various food products, such as salads, cheese, and meal kits, due to potential listeria contamination. Co-Op brand creamy garlic and spinach salad in certain regions with specific best-before dates are part of the recall. Additionally, cheese items like Bothwell shredded three-cheese nacho blend, Goldstream cheddar style shredded processed cheese, and Paradise Island brand Asiago shredded cheese are also affected.
Furthermore, the recall now includes some cheese ingredients used in Hello Fresh brand meal kits sold nationwide. Consumers can find detailed lists of the impacted products on the CFIA website. Listeria, a bacteria that may not visibly spoil food, can cause symptoms like vomiting, nausea, and fever. Although no illnesses related to these recalls have been reported, caution is advised.
