“Olivia Rodrigo Announces All-Women Festival”

Date:

Olivia Rodrigo draws inspiration from Lilith Fair for her upcoming festival, Daisy Chain Fields. The festival, featuring an all-women lineup, is set for August 29 in Irvine, California. Rodrigo expressed her excitement about this dream coming true, alongside performances by various artists including Chappell Roan, Doechii, Katseye, Mitski, the Breeders, Die Spitz, Bikini Kill, Eli, Garbage, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, and Not for Radio. Special guests listed for the event include Sarah McLachlan, Stevie Nicks, and Karen O.

In an interview with Pitchfork, Rodrigo highlighted her festival’s aim to address societal issues and promote gender equality in music lineups. She credited the original Lilith Fair for championing similar values. The singer, known for her admiration of women singer-songwriters from the ’90s, also featured in the documentary “Lilith Fair: Building a Mystery” in 2025, where she praised the impact of the pioneering music festival.

Olivia Rodrigo emphasized the festival’s values of joy, community, and creativity in its announcement post on social media. Notably, all net proceeds from the event will be donated to charities supporting women and girls, such as Planned Parenthood, Johns Hopkins Center for Indigenous Health, and the National Institute for Reproductive Health.

This philanthropic initiative aligns with Rodrigo’s past efforts, including the establishment of Fund 4 Good in 2023, which supports causes like reproductive rights, girls’ education, and gender-based violence prevention. Tickets for the festival are now available for presale, with general admission starting at $250 US.

Rodrigo’s recent achievements include her third consecutive No. 1 album on the Billboard charts with “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love,” following the success of her debut album “Sour” and its successor “Guts.”
