“Toyota Recalls 32,733 Canadian Vehicles Over Rearview Camera Issue”

Date:

Toyota is issuing a recall for 32,733 vehicles in Canada due to a rearview camera issue that could lead to a higher risk of accidents, as reported by Transport Canada recently. The malfunction in the rearview camera may result in an incorrect or absent display of the image when the vehicle is in reverse, a requirement under Canadian regulations.

According to the notice, a faulty rearview camera display could impair a driver’s visibility while reversing, potentially increasing the likelihood of a collision. The recall affects all Sequoia models manufactured from 2023 to 2025 and all Tundra models, including hybrids, produced from 2022 to 2025, specifically those equipped with a 14-inch multimedia display.

Toyota will inform affected vehicle owners through written notifications, but individuals can also verify if their vehicle is part of the recall by checking Toyota’s recall database online. Owners of the impacted models can visit a Toyota dealership to have the multimedia display software updated for their vehicles.
