“Ruby Rose Alleges Historical Sexual Assault by Katy Perry”

Date:

An investigation is currently ongoing regarding Australian actress Ruby Rose’s claim of a historical sexual assault allegedly committed by Katy Perry at a Melbourne nightclub approximately two decades ago. The American singer has denied the accusation. State police in Victoria, Australia, are looking into the matter without disclosing any names involved. Rose made the allegation in response to a post on Threads from Complex Music, stating that Perry sexually assaulted her at the Spice Market Nightclub in Melbourne. Rose mentioned that she had visited the police station and planned to provide more details on the reporting process once she felt stronger. Representatives for both Rose and Perry have been contacted for comments, but there has been no response yet.

Perry’s representative previously refuted the allegations, labeling them as false and dangerous. They highlighted Rose’s history of making serious public accusations on social media that have been consistently denied by the individuals mentioned. Victoria Police has opted not to provide further comments on the issue. Rose disclosed in a series of posts that the alleged incident took place when she was in her early twenties. She described the encounter where Perry purportedly rubbed her genitals on Rose’s face, leading to Rose vomiting on Perry. Rose also mentioned altering the story in the past to downplay the seriousness of the incident. She claimed that Perry had offered to help her secure a U.S. visa, prompting her to keep the incident a secret. These posts have since been removed.

It took Rose nearly twenty years to come forward with the accusation, expressing gratitude for eventually finding her voice. Perry was recently spotted at the Coachella music festival in California with former prime minister Justin Trudeau. She shared photos and a video on Instagram reacting to Justin Bieber’s performance, where he revisited his old YouTube videos. Perry joked about not wanting to see any ads during Bieber’s set, which was the subject of the initial post that Rose responded to.
