Unofficial and official election results for municipalities in central and northern Alberta are being released by various towns and regions in the province. Let’s take a look at some of the outcomes:
**St. Albert:** All polling stations in St. Albert have reported official results as of 1:35 p.m. MT on Wednesday. Scott Olivieri won the mayoral race with 57.9% of the votes, and voter turnout was 30%.
**Red Deer & Red Deer County:** Cindy Jefferies won the mayoral race in Red Deer with 41% of the votes. Incumbent councillors retained their seats, and new faces like Tristin Brisbois and Cassandra Curtis joined the council. In Red Deer County, Brent Ramsay led the mayoral race.
**Jasper:** Wendy Hall, Ralph Melnyk, and Kathleen Waxer were re-elected as councillors in Jasper, with new additions including Danny Frechette and Kable Kongsrud. Richard Ireland was acclaimed as the mayor.
**Hinton:** Brian LaBerge emerged as the new mayor-elect of Hinton. The council will see several new members, including Natalie Charlton and Gail Dunn.
**Regional Municipality of Wood Buffalo:** Incumbent Sandy Bowman secured a significant victory in the mayoral race. Ward results indicated success for candidates like Mike Allen and Greg Marcel.
**Fort Saskatchewan:** Lisa Makin was elected as the new mayor of Fort Saskatchewan. Ajibola Abitoye and incumbent councillors like Birgit Blizzard were also successful in the election.

**County of Northern Lights:** Reeve Terry Ungarian and several incumbent councilors were re-elected in the County of Northern Lights. A plebiscite indicated support for exploring a nuclear power plant.
**City of Leduc & Leduc County:** Lars Hansen led the mayoral race in the City of Leduc, while Glen Bienert and Bonnie Thomas were elected as new councillors in Leduc County.
**County of Grande Prairie:** Rod Shaigec won the mayoral race in the County of Grande Prairie. Incumbents and new councillors like Terri Beaupre were successful in the election.
**Strathcona County:** Rod Frank secured victory as mayor in Strathcona County. Incumbents dominated the council elections, with Mike Derbyshire being the only new councillor-elect.
**City of Cold Lake:** Bob Mattice won the mayoral race in the City of Cold Lake. The council will see new faces like Ryan Bailey and Dawn Weber.
