“FIFA Unveils Star-Studded Halftime Show for World Cup Final”

Date:

FIFA plans to introduce a halftime show at the upcoming World Cup final, featuring Shakira, Madonna, and K-pop sensation BTS at Metlife Stadium in New Jersey on July 19. The event aims to raise $100 million for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, promoting children’s access to education and soccer. Coldplay’s Chris Martin will curate the concert.

Traditionally, soccer halftime is a time for player rest, but FIFA hopes to blend music and football on a grand scale. The announcement has sparked discussions online, with some fans debating whether halftime shows should remain exclusive to American football.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino believes the event will unite music and football for a noble cause. The World Cup, co-hosted by Canada, the United States, and Mexico, will take place over June and July. Additionally, Reggaeton star J Balvin is set to perform at the opening ceremony in Mexico City alongside a lineup celebrating Mexican culture.
