Canadian Screen Awards week has commenced with the announcement of Children’s Television Awards winners at the inaugural ceremony in Toronto. The event unveiled 16 recipients across various categories.
In the category of Best supporting performer for children’s or youth programming, Josette Jorge clinched the award for her role in “The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia.”
The accolade for Best writing in a pre-school show went to “Toopy and Binoo Fabulous Adventures – Giggling Flufferoos,” while “Thomas & Friends: The Christmas Letter Express” secured the Best original music in animation.
Will Arnett triumphed in the Best voice performance category for his work in “Super Team Canada.”
The award for Best picture editing in children’s or youth productions was bestowed upon “Old Enough! – Where’s The Ginger, Please?” Macy Murdoch received recognition for Best direction in children’s or youth content for “Tick, Tick, Gone.”
“The Unstoppable Jenny Garcia – What is Happening to Me?!” claimed the Best writing award in the children’s or youth category. “Unicorn Academy – Winter Solstice” was honored for the Best sound in animation, while “Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum – I am Jackie Robinson” won in the Best writing and Best direction for animation.
Additionally, “Mittens & Pants” received the Canada Media Fund kids’ choice award. “Daniel Tiger’s Neighbourhood” was acknowledged as the Best pre-school program or series, and “Odd Squad” secured the awards for Best lead performer and Best children’s or youth fiction program or series.
Lastly, “Super Team Canada” emerged victorious in the Best animated program or series category. Will Arnett was recognized for his voice performance in the show.
These outstanding achievements were celebrated at the CSA Children’s Television Awards, highlighting excellence in the Canadian television industry.
