Taylor Swift enthusiasts will soon have the opportunity to experience the singer’s highly successful Eras Tour finale that took place in Vancouver last December. The release of a new movie named “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour: The Final Show” was announced on Good Morning America for viewers on Monday. This movie will debut on Disney+ and showcase a complete concert film of Swift’s final performance on the Eras Tour at B.C. Place.
In addition to the movie, a six-episode docuseries chronicling the tour will also be released, with the initial two episodes premiering on December 12. Canada served as the final destination for the extensive 149-show, 20-month Eras Tour, which attracted over 10 million fans from 19 different countries.
Speculations about a potential film began circulating among fans after a camera crew was seen recording Swift’s last three shows in Vancouver. Notably, Swift has acknowledged the significance of the Vancouver concert, as the title track of her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” concludes with crowd noises from the sold-out B.C. Place performance.
The new concert feature, scheduled to launch a day before Swift’s 36th birthday, should not be confused with the 2023 film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour,” released prior to her 11th album, “The Tortured Poets Department.” The aforementioned era, introduced in May 2024, did not appear in the initial concert film but will be highlighted in the upcoming December 12 movie.
