The 78th Emmy Awards were held on September 14 at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. This year, the red carpet was actually blue, in honor of the 100th anniversary of NBC, the host network, and its iconic peacock logo.

Hosted by Mariska Hargitay, the ceremony recognized excellence in television, with “Widow’s Bay” standing out as the top winner of the night. The Apple TV horror-comedy set a new record by clinching 14 Emmy awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series and acting accolades for Matthew Rhys, Stephen Root, and Kate O’Flynn. “The Pitt” secured the title of Outstanding Drama Series for the second consecutive year, while “DTF St. Louis” was honored with the Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series award.

Among the notable victories were Noah Wyle for lead actor in a drama for “The Pitt”, Rhea Seehorn for lead actress in a drama for “Pluribus”, and Jean Smart for lead actress in a comedy for “Hacks”. Matthew Rhys had a particularly successful evening, also winning the lead actor award in a limited series or movie for “The Beast in Me”.

Apart from the awards, the fashion on the blue carpet was also a highlight. Celebrities like Supriya Ganesh, Matty Matheson, Lisa Rinna, Grace Gummer, Joy Sunday, and others showcased their stunning outfits and unique styles at the prestigious event.
