“Dollyfest 2027 to Celebrate Iconic Singer in Nashville and London”

Date:

Dollyfest, a music festival celebrating the life of Dolly Parton, will take place in 2027 without the iconic singer herself. Originally scheduled for Parton’s 80th birthday, the event was postponed due to health issues. However, the festival, described as “star-studded,” will now occur in Nashville and London over two weekends next year.

The passing of the “Queen of Country” at the age of 80 has left many fans mourning her loss. Parton, known for hits like “Jolene,” “I Will Always Love You,” and “9 to 5,” was admired for her humor, rhinestones, and extensive charitable work.

Organizers promise that Dollyfest will be a celebration reflecting Parton’s vibrant personality, but details such as specific dates and musical performances are yet to be revealed.

Danny Nozell, the festival organizer, emphasized their commitment to honoring Parton’s legacy authentically, allowing fans worldwide to participate while also providing time for grieving and planning.

Both Nashville and London hold significance for Parton, as she lived in Nashville and frequently performed in London, including a memorable show at Wembley Arena early in her career.

In addition to Dollyfest, various tributes have poured in for the late singer, including plans by Dollywood, the theme park she developed, to introduce special additions in her memory. Guests will have the opportunity to share their memories and reflections on Parton at the park, with their testimonials potentially featured in an exhibit.

Other forthcoming park enhancements influenced by Parton include a new waterfall, an attraction, and a park character inspired by her Imagination Library initiative. The memorial wall outside Dollywood, adorned with flowers and tributes, will remain for an indefinite period to allow visitors to pay their respects.

Sevierville, Tennessee, Parton’s hometown, is launching “In Dolly’s Footsteps,” a city-wide initiative in collaboration with Dollywood. This project will include walking-tour markers highlighting significant locations in Parton’s life story, such as The Pines Theatre, where she performed her first concert at the age of 10.
