mgk to Headline Grey Cup Halftime Show

Date:

Rapper and singer mgk is set to headline the halftime show at the upcoming 112th Grey Cup, as confirmed by the CFL. Formerly known as Machine Gun Kelly, the artist has a notable music career, having released seven studio albums. His 2020 album, “Tickets to my Downfall,” achieved double platinum certification in the United States. Recently, he dropped his latest album, “Lost Americana,” in August.

Additionally, the kickoff show will feature Our Lady Peace, a band that gained popularity in Canada during the 1990s with their alternative rock albums “Naveed” and “Clumsy.” Moreover, Catie St. Germain from Niverville, Manitoba, a country singer, will perform the national anthem.

The Grey Cup event is scheduled for November 16 in Winnipeg. Last year’s Grey Cup in Vancouver had the Jonas Brothers headlining the halftime show.
