Five players from the Toronto Blue Jays have been selected as finalists for the Gold Glove awards this season, presented annually by Major League Baseball to recognize outstanding defensive performances across various positions in both leagues. Ernie Clement has been nominated for two awards, making the final cut in the American League for third base and utility positions. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Ty France, who joined the Blue Jays from Minnesota during the trade deadline, are in contention for the AL’s first-base Gold Glove. Additionally, second baseman Andres Gimenez and catcher Alejandro Kirk have also been named as finalists. Gimenez has secured the AL Gold Glove at second base for the past three seasons while playing for the Cleveland Guardians. Guerrero previously clinched the AL first-base award in 2022. The winners of the Gold Glove awards will be revealed on November 2.
