With this achievement, Ronaldo now holds the men’s international record with 143 goals. Despite Ronaldo’s performance, Hungary managed to equalize in stoppage time, denying Portugal an early World Cup qualification. Portugal remains at the top of Group F, leading Hungary by five points.
